1. Community Service Night on January 19th

Donations are still needed for travel-sized items that can be fit in a shoe box (13.5×7.5×4). Please refer to the Amazon list as examples. Please also signup here to help us track donation quantities. Donations may be left in the box in the front office in advance or you may bring your donation with you to the event on Thursday, January 19th. BIG THANK YOU to those who have signed up and donated!!!

Event Information: 6:30pm ~ 7:30pm, Thursday, January 19th @ Wayside APR
Projects:
1. Jared Box: parents and kids will pack boxes together and prepare fun gifts for children in local hospitals. https://thejaredbox.org/
2. Valentines for Kids: kids can decorate the envelopes that will go with the Valentine’s they create during school hours.

2. Wayside Talent Show

LAST WEEK TO SIGN UP FOR THE TALENT SHOW!
VIDEOS ARE DUE BY 1/28/23.

Do you have a special talent that you want to share with the Wayside community? The Wayside Talent Show is looking for students to perform in our first in person talent show since 2019. Sign up now to receive additional information about submitting videos of your talent by January 21, 2023. We can’t wait to see you on the stage on March 24th! Questions? We are also looking for parents and 4th and 5th graders, who don’t want to perform, but would like to help out on the big night. Please sign up here if you are available!

3. Skate Night

Friday is the last day to sign up for Skate Night!

Join us at the Cabin John Ice Rink on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 6:30 to 8pm for an evening of skating! If you plan to attend, please sign up here! Skate admission will be covered by the PTA. Skate rentals can be purchased for $4 at the rink. Spectators can watch for free. Hope to see you on the ice!

4. Seeking Volunteers for Nominating Committee

The PTA Board is seeking at least three PTA members to serve on the Nominating Committee, which will recruit the slate for the 2023-2024 PTA Board. The timeframe for the committee’s work is February/March. If you are interested in serving on this committee, please contact Melissa Adler, PTA President, at president@waysidepta.org.
