1. Multicultural Night is Coming!
We are excited to announce that Multicultural Night is back! Please join us on Friday, March 8th, from 6-8pm in the APR for a night of celebrating and embracing diversity.
We are looking forward to showcasing the beautiful cultures that make up our community and taking a trip around the world in 120 minutes. Come and celebrate with us through delicious food, lively performances, and lots of fun!
Come HUNGRY and try food from different cultures! There will be several food trucks offering food such as Indonesian, Mexican, Greek and Asian fusion options! Plus a dessert truck with sno cones and fancy slushies!

If you want to do more than just attend the event, here are the exciting options available for you to participate in:

  1. Table – Each participant will have a 6-foot table to decorate and represent their country’s culture. You can keep it simple or go all-out!

    1. You may create a trifold board showcasing facts and landmarks, and bring any items or art you may have.

    2. You may bring in food or a beverage for our guests to sample.

    3. You may include an interactive offering.  This could be henna, origami, writing children’s names in a foreign language, or teaching a dance.

    4. You may bring coins from your country so the children can place their passports over them and color with a crayon to capture the image of the coin.

    5. The PTA will provide a flag and a stamp to mark the children’s passports.

  2. Performance – Each participant will prepare a short performance of a traditional dance or showcase anything that represents their country.

  3. International Fashion Show – Each child will wear traditional garments of their country and will display them with a walk across the stage.

This is going to be a night to remember and we can’t wait to see you all there!

Click here to sign up by Friday, February 23rd and join the fun!

4. It Takes a Village
Thank you to Rima Fox and Yishen Sun for organizing a phenomenal Community Service Night this past Thursday.  The Dolphin community came together to put 150 Jarod Boxes together to support the Jared Box Project, which supports sick children staying in hospitals in Montgomery County.  Students, teachers and caregivers selected items that would be best suited for children spending their days in a hospital.  Before closing the boxes, hand written notes were placed inside to provide extra cheer, love and support.

A HUGE thank you to our corporate sponsor, Nazareth Bonifacino Law LLC!  We are so grateful for your support as we gave back to those in our immediate and surroundings community.

5. In Honor of National Counselor’s Week
The PTA would like to thank Mrs. Freundel for all that she does for the students and families at Wayside. Mrs. Freundel works tirelessly to support our students’ social, emotional and mental well-being. She is an advocate, trusted adult and a smiling face at carpool pick up and drop off.
