1. Spring Fling is Almost Here!

2. Spirit Night at Shake Shack is on June 12th!
One last chance to eat dinner with your Wayside friends during our final spirit night of the year at Shake Shack! See you there!

3. It Takes A Village!
Thank you to everyone who came out for Wayside’s Play Day and Field Day! The day is not possible without our wonderful Wayside parent volunteers! A big thank you to Ms. Way for organizing all the fun events!

A thank you from Ms. Way:
I would like to offer up a deeply felt “Thank You” to all the MANY Wayside Field Day/Play Day volunteers/supporters this year. Thank you also for the many kind words and suggestions you’ve shared about the day’s events. There are so MANY superstars behind the scenes working diligently and sometimes frantically to tie in all the loose ends right down to the very minute of delivery. I’m so very grateful for the hands, heads and hearts that go into making this event successful each and every year.

Field Day and Play Day continue to be a work in progress that has withstood many changes but without a doubt, the events reliably deliver a spirit of community, fun, and nostalgia. Let’s all continue to move forward together bringing the BEST VALUES of PLAY to our littles and for our littles.

Enjoy this long weekend and “Thank You” again for all you continue to do for the Wayside Field Day/Play Day experience.

4. Wayside looking for a few donations
As you go about your spring cleaning, Wayside could use a few items to get through the last weeks of school. They are looking for the following items (new or gently used):
–Board books
–Large piece puzzles
–Hula hoops
–Balls (basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, kickballs)
–Sidewalk chalk
—Cause and effect toys
Please drop them off in the baskets in the front office.

5. Girls on The Run
Congratulations to the Wayside Girls on the Run team for representing Wayside and completing the 5k on May 21st!

6. Incoming Kindergarten Pool Playdate

This event is not sponsored by the Wayside PTA or MCPS.

7. Register your child for Kindergarten today!
If you have not yet completed the registration process for your incoming kindergarten student, please do so now to maintain our current staffing. All paperwork must be submitted to be fully registered. Please see below for more information: Kindergarten registration for the 2023-2024 school year is ongoing with Online Registration (OLR).
